Kiama Rugby Sevens Cup

Celebrating 40 years of 'Sevens Rugby' in Kiama and looking forward to the next Kiama Rugby Sevens tournament in February 2013.

Congratulations to all teams and thank you for attending the Kiama Rugby Sevens. An outstanding day of top rugby and family fun, culminating in four thrilling finals.

To all Kiama Rugby Supporters and Blowhards,

I hope you all had a safe and Happy Easter Holiday Weekend and are all looking forward to the coming Rugby season.
This years pre season has started well with over 60 players signing with the club(an average of 30/35 at training).
The players have been training very hard and also played two tough trial games is Newcastle and at home a couple of weeks ago against Shoalhaven.
Both trial games were very physical against good opposition although we didn't win on the scoreboard,the players have never backed down or given up and are getting fitter stronger faster and more physical each week.
This Saturday is the first comp game against Engadine away with only 2nd and 3rd grade playing.
It will be a tough game but the coaching staff feel we have two solid teams with many first graders being rested due to a couple of small injuries and work commitments,and are looking forward to wins in both grades.
Next Saturday we will play against Bowral at the Kiama Showground,with all 3 grades on players on board,and which be a good tough first home game.
We have had good numbers,great effort and commitment,and as a whole everything is shaping up well at this stage of the season.
I hope you all get behind the teams this year and enjoy what should be a year of good,tough,skillful,free running and enjoyable winning Rugby.
Lastly, Wednesday night is the 2012 KRFC season launch at the Club House at 6.30 with The First Grade Team selections,Team Captain and Club Captain being announced.
